ANNUAL MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT

In accordance with the bylaws of Bangor Federal Credit Union, this serves as the official notice of the 64th Annual Meeting and Board Election. The meeting will be held on Sunday, March 28, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. We are hopeful that the Annual Meeting will be held in-person at our 6 Dirigo Drive location in Brewer. In the event we will not be able to meet in person, updates will be posted on our website at www.bangorfederal.com or by contacting us at 207-947-0374.

Your credit union has a seven-member Board of Directors. This year there are four vacancies and the Nominating Committee has appointed four nominees. Therefore, if no additional nominees are made by petition, there will be no voting by ballot. Elections will be conducted at the Annual Meeting. The Nominating Committee has named the following four nominees for three-year terms:

William Hogan—William currently serves on the Board of Directors at Bangor Federal Credit Union. He is a past Chair of the Supervisory Committee. William retired from the banking industry in 1999. He also has served on several committees in the Town of Veazie where he resides with his wife, Lois. He enjoys traveling and spending time with his three children and five grandchildren.

Debbie Laurie – Debbie currently serves as the Treasurer on the Bangor Federal Credit Union Board of Directors. Prior to joining the Board, she served on the Supervisory Committee. Debbie is the Finance Director for the City of Bangor.

Ernest Khoury - E.K. currently serves as the Vice Chair on the Bangor Federal Credit Union Board of Directors. He is a past Chair of the Supervisory Committee and a long-time credit union member. E.K. retired from the insurance industry in 2019. He resides in Bangor with his wife and two children.

Robert Welch – Robert currently serves as the Chair on the Bangor Federal Credit Union Board of Directors. Prior to joining the Board, he served in the Supervisory Committee. Robert is active in the Greater Bangor Area Chapter of Credit Unions and serves as Bangor Federal Credit Union’s Security Officer. Robert retired from law enforcement in 2018.

Nominations may also be made by petition; this may be done by obtaining 1% of signatures from the current membership or 143 members. Please submit a statement of qualifications, biographical data and signed a statement of willingness to serve if elected along with the petition to the Nominating Committee, 10 Venture Way, Bangor Maine 04401. All nominations by petition must be received by February 16, 2021.
