How do I open an account online?
Click ‘OPEN AN ACCOUNT’ in the green bar at the bottom of the home page or simply click here. You’ll be taken to the ‘Open Accounts Online’ page with three choices: (1) to become a member, (2) to open an account as a member already, and (3) to get online banking access as an existing member with existing account.
How do I apply for a loan online?
Click ‘APPLY FOR FINANCING' in the green bar at the bottom of this page or simply click here. The “Apply for a Loan” page will open. Select your status from the list of options to continue.
How do I apply for a credit card online?
Click “LOANS & CREDIT” on the blue navigation bar at the top of any page. Choose “Visa Credit Cards” in the blue drop down box or just click here. Select your status from the list of options to continue.
How do I view my BFCU Visa Credit Card account online?
You can access your Our Best Visa Credit Card right through our regular Online Banking product (login or register access is available at the top right of any page on the site). In there, you will be able to setup eAlerts, access transaction history, categorize transactions to view spending patterns, make real-time payments, make advances against your credit limit, and more. You will also have access to your BFCU Visa Credit Card account through our Mobile Banking and iTalk Banking products.
How do I view my e-Statements online?
Login to your Online Banking using the login box on the top right of any of our site pages. Once logged into Online Banking, click the ‘eStatements’ tab to access your statements. This will give you access to your Account statements and Visa Credit Card statements.
How do I access Bill Pay through your website?
Login to your Online Banking using the login box on the top right of any of our site pages. Once logged into Online Banking, click the ‘Bill Pay’ tab. You will be taken to the login page for Bill Pay. Here you can login to Bill Pay or click ‘Enroll Now’ to enroll for the service.
How do I sign up for Mobile Banking?
To have Mobile Banking, you must first have registered for Online Banking. If you’re not already registered for Online Banking, you can do so by clicking the ‘Register’ link in the online banking login box located on the top right of any page. If you’ve already registered for Online Banking, you can visit the Google Play store or the Apple App Store to download Bangor Federal’s Mobile Banking application, or access the links from our Mobile Banking page. Once you have installed the application on your Android or Apple device, you can login using the same username and password you created for your Online Banking.
Where can I find rates on your website?
Rates for deposit accounts are located on the very bottom left of the home page. Choose the “RATES” link on the very bottom left. There you’ll find rates for Kasasa® checking, Kasasa Saver®, Savings Accounts, Money Market Account, IRA Savings, Share and IRA Certificates, Jumbo Share & IRA Certificates and loan rates. We do not list rates for First Mortgages or Mobile Homes on Land because rates changes can change daily. You can find out more information about the types of Mortgage loans we offer by clicking ‘Mortgage Loans’ under the ‘Loans & Credit Cards’ option on the menu bar. Is my account secure online?
Yes. At Bangor Federal, we take our obligation to protect our members account information seriously. In the event your account is accessed from an unknown computer, a unique Passcode is forwarded to your email address on file as verification that you are the one accessing the account and not someone else.
What do I do if I forget my password?
From the Bangor Federal home page, www.bangorfederal.com, click the “Forgot Password” link right below the Username log in field. You will be taken through the process to reset your password.
What do I do if I'm locked out?
If your account is locked, you will just need to call the credit union at 207-947-0374 to have your account unlocked.
When registering, it’s asking for my savings account number. What number is it referring to?
Your savings account number is the number given to you upon joining the credit union
