Every year, the employees and members of Bangor Federal Credit Union come together to collect non-perishable food items to benefit a local food pantry serving our community to help fight food insecurity.
The need grows every year as food pantries and organizations struggle to meet the rising demand for food services. This year, Bangor Federal Credit Union raised food donations, and funds, to benefit the Brewer Area Food Pantry on North Main St. in Brewer. Our incredible team, extremely generous members, and committed community came together to donate 755 lbs. of food along with a check in the amount of $738.73 to aid the Brewer Area Food Pantry in their mission and help combat the food insecurity so many face in our neighborhoods.

In November of 2024, our team and membership donated over 662 pounds of food and over $400 in donations to help aid Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry in battling food insecurity across Hancock County and beyond!
2023
In a banner year, our team and membership collected an incredible 810 pounds of food and a check for $123 to help aid Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry in battling food insecurity across Hancock County and beyond!
2022
Our incredibly generous members and staff helped collect 640 pounds of food and a check for over $500 to help support Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry in Ellsworth as they move into their new location to better serve the community!
