Bangor Federal Credit Union knows just how critical it is to protect yourself from fraud, identity theft, and scams; they are issues we deal with on a daily basis.

That's why the national CO-OP that provides you the convenience of accessing Shared Branching across the country is introducing ID proofing measures for all in-person, out-of-state withdrawals via shared branching starting May 1, 2025. This new fraud prevention measure allows us, and our shared branching credit union partners, to make certain it is you trying to access your account, not an imposter.

If you bank at one of our Shared Branching locations in another state, a teller can now identify and authenticate members through ID verification. IDCheck will be required for anyone using shared branching whose home credit union is located in another state and/or present an out-of-state ID when conducting a shared branching withdrawal.
