Annual Meeting Announcement

In accordance with the bylaws of Bangor Federal Credit Union, this serves as the official notice of the 70^th Annual Meeting and Board Election. The 70^th Annual Meeting will be held in-person on Sunday, March 22^nd, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at the 6 Dirigo Drive location in Brewer.

Your credit union has a seven-member Board of Directors. This year there three vacancies and the Nominating Committee has appointed three nominees. Therefore, if no additional nominees are made by petition, there will be no voting by ballot. Elections will be conducted at the Annual Meeting.

The Nominating Committee has named the following nominees for a three-year term:

Mary Lou A. - Mary Lou currently serves as the Secretary on the Bangor Federal Credit Union Board of Directors. A former member of the Supervisory Committee, Mary Lou has been with Bangor Federal Credit Union since 1996. She was elected to the Board in 2003. She comes to us with a background in bookkeeping and office management. 

Lisa L. – Lisa has served on the Supervisory Committee since 2024. She retired from public service in 2022. 

The Nominating Committee has named the following nominee for a one-year term:

Chris G. – Chris was appointed to the Board of Directors in 2025 to fill a vacancy. Prior to the appointment, he served on the Supervisory Committee. Chris is a long-time credit union member who works in the industrial supply business.

Nominations may also be made by petition; this may be done by obtaining 1% of signatures from the current membership or 157 members. Please submit a statement of qualifications, biographical data and signed a statement of willingness to serve if elected along with the petition to the Nominating Committee, 10 Venture Way, Bangor Maine 04401. All nominations by petition must be received by February 28, 2026.
