Every Christmas, Penquis transforms their space into a pop-up toy store to help families struggling financially provide their children with the holiday cheer we all hold so dear. "Toyland", as they call it, gives parents the opportunity to browse through toys generously donated by our community and helps hundreds of children enjoy opening presents on Christmas morning - presents they otherwise may never have. This program relies heavily on the contributions of the community, and this year, Bangor Federal Credit Union seeks to make spirits bright with a toy drive of our own to aid them in their efforts.
Starting Monday, November 23rd, and running through Friday, December 11th, Bangor Federal will be collecting new, unwrapped toys at all our locations in Bangor, Brewer, and Ellsworth to benefit Penquis' Toyland program. In lieu of physical donations, our team will also be collecting monetary contributions to help the team at Penquis provide Christmas for families in need. This program isn't available without the hard work of not only Penquis' dedicated team, but the incredible charity of area businesses and individuals. Thank you in advance for your generosity!
